My first experience of acupuncture was as a patient while living in Japan. I had become very stressed and unwell as a result of a bad work/life balance over many years and can honestly say the acupuncture treatment I received quickly restored my health and well being. I was so impressed with the results and the speed with which my symptoms were alleviated that I studied with my practitioner Mariko Hatta. This was to be the start of my journey with this wonderful therapy.

On my return to Britain, I completed my training in traditional Chinese acupuncture with three years intensive training at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Since qualifying in 1998 I have established busy practices in London, Westcliff-on-Sea and Leigh-on-Sea.

I have been in practice for seventeen years now and am still passionate about using acupuncture to facilitate the same profound and lasting positive change in the lives of my patients that I experienced myself. After all these years I am in the happy position of being able to say I love my job which is never boring and always rewarding; each person I treat is unique and there is always lots for me to learn about my practice, people and life.

I have had extensive experience of treating a huge variety of conditions ranging from muscular skeletal pain through stress related complaints (head aches, anxiety, insomnia)to obstetric and gynaecological conditions. As a result I have gained significant expertise in treating these complaints in particular.

I always seek to develop my practice through ongoing post graduate studies and am also practising as a mentor and supervisor to other practitioners. Recently I have also begun my training in Upledger Craniosacral Therapy and have begun to use this alongside acupuncture with amazing results as the two therapies complement each other beautifully to facilitate profound and deep change.

As a member of the British Acupuncture Council I am fully insured and follows the strict codes of practice, ethics and conduct set out by the Council. Only sterile, disposable needles are used and these are properly discarded after one use.
