Sarah Collins

I took my first steps into yoga and meditation on a yearlong trip abroad. After my first yoga class in Fiji I couldn’t believe that I had been missing out on this! I felt calmer and I started to notice my breath and how I held tension in my body. With every class this relationship deepened and from this starting point I began to live more consciously and with more ability to flow with life instead of feeling overwhelmed by it. Now I can’t imagine starting my day without my yoga practice.

I love to travel and have continued to learn abroad with many beautiful teachers. Whilst in Bangkok I practiced Vipassana meditation at Wat Mahathat with the Buddhist monks that live and teach there. In 2010 I felt drawn to Reiki Healing and took Reiki 1st degree with my teacher Nick Harris in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I have returned since and am now very proud to be an 8th Generation Reiki Master. Whilst in India I lived and studied yoga at an Ashram in Goa. I then completed my 200hr Teacher Training course at Himalaya Yoga Valley and I am a member of Yoga Alliance.

My time in India left me inspired to teach in a style that honours the traditional approach with focus on breath, alignment and Drishti (gaze point).
My understanding of Yoga, Reiki and Meditation have complimented each other beautifully and the more I learn the more passionate I feel about passing the benefits on to the people I teach.
