I came to yoga in 1996 after the birth my son. I was in terrible pain physically, emotionally and mentally. I was suffering form Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I discovered a magazine article which suggested that Yoga was good for Depression? I was so desperate and was willing to try anything, even Yoga! Luckily I began to feel hope after my first yoga class.
During the next few months of yoga practise I began to heal and then went on to have four children! Due to long periods of being housebound I began to develop my own home practise. I began to empower myself with yogic tools! This curiosity and commitment lead me to study with The British Wheel of Yoga. I have been teaching Yoga for eight years in many diverse arenas! Schools, sport centre’s, peace circles and lots of 1-2-1 private sessions.
A natural progression coupled with a lot of experience lead me to study pregnancy yoga in Glastonbury with Wendy Teasdill. This has enabled me to be part of women s transformation into mothers and I feel very privileged to be part of this journey. I now teach pregnancy yoga and prepare for birth sessions.
More recently I am improving my knowledge by studying Yoga as therapy.
